Character Designs
These two images are a concept for a live-action adaptation of a sci-fi novel, and as such needed to be as realistic as possible. In this case, Charlotte Rampling was used as a base, and two different colors are presented to offer some flexibility when fitting into a scene's color keys. These were created using Photoshop and Procreate.
Illustrations
The two above and one to the right are illustrations meant to catch peoples' eyes and draw them in to a bigger project. When approaching something like these, I will paint over 3D assets to save time. This allows me to focus on things like composition, color, and atmosphere.
The two below and one to the left are pieces with a more focused purpose. To the left is a character design exploration, focusing on silhouettes and attitude, with a rough detail below of the more successful ones. Below are technical drawings that can be used for 3D modelling or for artists' reference on a team. They include some functionality details that are, at least in the case of the bottom right, based on some piece of actual science. Grounding any design in something real lends that design more credibility.
